“Far and away, the best prize life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.” Theodore Roosevelt
Employment is a major Mission Project focus, and most participants have jobs. Others serve as volunteers at local organizations. Participants and their families work with job coaches, both to find employment and to manage employment issues. The Mission Project transportation program provides rides to and from work.
A wide range of businesses and organizations, including hospitals, restaurants, grocers and specialty stores, employ Mission Project participants. Job satisfaction surveys indicate that employers appreciate participants’ reliability and the care they take in performing their duties.
