Sum of the Parts = Life: A Celebration of Community, Belonging, and Independence
On behalf of everyone at The Mission Project, thank you to all who joined us for our 2025 Annual Celebration Fundraiser!
This year’s theme—“Sum of the Parts = Life”—beautifully captured the heart of our mission. Every club, activity, and shared experience our participants take part in helps shape the independent, connected lives they lead. And on this special night, we celebrated each of those meaningful pieces.
The evening was filled with highlights:
- A heartfelt welcome by host John Holt of Fox4 News
- An inspiring participant video titled “Where Would I Be Without MP?” that spotlighted the friendships, community, and sense of belonging that The Mission Project fosters
- A moving performance by The Mission Project Drama Club, which brought laughter, emotion, and crowd participation as the participants poured their hearts into the spotlight
- The presentation of the Stalwart Award to Lynne Clarke for her unwavering dedication and support of The Mission Project through her service on the advisory board and invaluable leadership with the Rockhurst University Occupational Therapy Program Partnership.
- Live music by the incredible Saxes, Brushes and 88 Keys, adding rhythm and soul to the evening
- A successful auction led by Don Nikodim, with audio/video brought by DSS Inc.
We were also proud to share what’s new at The Mission Project this year—and to celebrate how our community continues to grow in both services and impact.
A very special thanks to everyone who helped make this event such a success—from our participants and performers, to our volunteers, staff, vendors, and supporters. Your dedication and passion are what bring this mission to life.
Deep gratitude as well to our program partners, JE Dunn and Turner Construction, for their incredible support.
If you weren’t able to attend, there are still great opportunities to get involved:
- The Independence Walk – Saturday, September 6
- The Annual Golf Classic – Monday, September 15
