The Mission Project’s Annual Independence Walk: A Huge Success!
We are thrilled to announce that The Mission Project’s Annual Independence Walk was a tremendous success! Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and supported independence for the Mission Project participants. Your enthusiasm and generosity continue to make a real difference in our community.
A special thank you to Prairie Village HyVee for their generous donation of bananas, and bottles of water, keeping our walkers fueled and hydrated throughout the event.
Every year mission project participants, family members and supporters walk this 1- or 2-mile stroll through beautiful downtown Mission, designed to celebrate our participants’ involvement in the community. This year we were incredibly lucky with the weather – we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to enjoy the scenic walk, meet new friends, and support a great cause.
Raffle prizes drawn at at the conclusion of the walk are always a highlight of the event. Participants volunteered to draw the winners and there was much excitement as all the prizes were announced – many of which were generous donations from local businesses and friends of the organization.
The funds raised from this event will directly support our mission of empowering The Mission Project participants to live independently. These contributions will help fund fitness sessions, nutrition classes, art and theater programs, and transportation to work, ensuring our participants can maintain their employment—each of which plays a crucial role in their independence.
Together, we are building a stronger, more inclusive community, and we couldn’t do it without your incredible support!
A HUGE thank you again to our sponsors:
